About Us

Christie Clinic physicians in this department treat diseases or injuries that require general surgery, and they care for the surgical needs of both children and adults. In keeping with the latest applications of medical technology, the surgeons have additional training in the use of laser and laparoscopic surgery. Patients are generally referred to a Christie Clinic surgeon by their primary care physicians or other specialists for many potential problems, including breast disease, hernias, and gallbladder inflammation.

The mental stress of having an operation is sometimes worse for the patient than the operation itself. As their provider, my role is to reassure them by listening and validating their concerns. My ability to place myself in their situation makes it easier to communicate with them and alleviate some of their stresses.

At Christie Clinic one of our mottos is “I Listen. I Care.” I take this to heart, and intentionally take time to listen to my patients, answer their questions, and demonstrate that I really do care. I believe that this is of extremely high value in providing the best care for my patients.
